What TRU Does

About TRU Community Care

TRU Community Care helps people living with serious illness, aging-related needs, and grief. For 50 years, we’ve walked alongside Colorado families during life’s most important and tender moments, offering care that honors the whole person—their comfort, values, and wishes—not just their medical diagnosis.

Our wraparound services provide physical comfort, emotional well-being, and guidance for families. Whether you’re seeking comfort during illness, support through grief, or help to keep a loved one thriving safely at home, TRU provides care that is both clinically skilled and deeply compassionate.

Our programs are built to meet people where they are, whether at home, in facilities, or in community settings. This includes hospice, palliative care, grief services, PACE, and memory care.

Illness and loss often bring complex decisions and emotional weight. TRU exists to provide steady support so families can better understand their options, feel less overwhelmed, and make choices aligned with their values.

Our focus is always on comfort, clarity, and respect for each person’s life and priorities.

You can reach out at any time. Many people contact TRU when symptoms change, caregiving becomes overwhelming, or when they want to understand future care options. Others reach out early simply to ask questions.

It’s never too early to start the conversation.

TRU Hospice is accredited by The Joint Commission; recognized as a five-star hospice through the We Honor Veterans program,; and supported by national memberships including National Alliance for Care at Home (The Alliance), National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC), Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE), and the National PACE Association (NPA). These credentials reflect our commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.

Our team coordinates care to help you feel comfortable, informed, and supported. We offer home visits, phone guidance, and in-person support tailored to your needs.

Families receive practical help, clear communication, and ongoing check-ins — so you’re never left wondering what comes next.

Who TRU Serves

TRU supports people across Colorado who are experiencing advanced illness, dementia, aging-related changes, or grief after a loss. We serve individuals and families across Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Jefferson, Arapahoe, Denver, and Weld Counties—and beyond.

Families, caregivers, and community partners also receive help and education.  You do not need to be a current TRU patient to access grief services or community programs.

As a nonprofit organization rooted in our community, we’re here to support anyone who could benefit from compassionate guidance, education, or care.
